Join us at the OctaLUX, A transformative sensory playground on a 3-acre natural sanctuary. Where aerial artistry, sound baths and immersive experiences collide to ignite creativity, play, and radical self-expression, for an immersive Shibari Sound Bath Experience. We learn, create and play together on the new epic hard point structure created by SensualiTEAs.
Our optional beginners workshop will cover foundations of shibari to get started on your tying journey to practice and play during the sound bath. OctoLUX's multiple hard points are available for suspension within rigger skill level.
WORKSHOP:
Riya will teach you where to begin and how to easily flow with rope. Once you have learned basic knots and connected with the rope, Riya will guide you through a chest harness that will give the feeling of a warm hug. Wrap yourself, or a partner in rope that you bring or borrow some from the house.
SOUND BATH:
Sound healing is a modality or a tool to help calm and relax the mind and body. Using very specific frequencies and sounds which create vibration that can be physically felt and have a positive effect on the mind and spirit. Bringing together the sensuality and surrender of shibari with sound healing to create the ultimate environment for meditative play.
MEET YOUR GUIDES:
Dr. Gabriela Clinical Sound Healer will guide us through a curated sound bath by way of sonic energy to induce a meditative state. They will be using a variety of sound healing instruments to help support the energy of creativity, play and surrender. Gabriela will help induce the flow state to create a grounded and magical experience for all levels of skill to enjoy. Whether you want to practice tying or just enjoy the beautiful outdoor space, Gabriela will insure that leave with a sense of bliss and connectedness.
Riya Boyington, a multi-talented artist, event planner, and teacher, is so happy to bring you this merging of two worlds. Riya has been teaching the foundations of shibari all over the east coast. Bringing the experience of rope play to people for about 4 years now, using the knowledge learned over the past years from Shibari Study and other specialists in the field.

Kim, is a collaborative creatrix most passionate about bringing groups together to create community, expand consciousness, and explore what happens when we bring more play into all we do!
