Collide, Connect, and Celebrate: Before the Finals, Light the Match.

Calling all current University at Buffalo students and proud UB alumni — this is YOUR night to shine before Buffalo’s biggest night of innovation!

Experience THE UBuffalo official student and alumni kick-off event leading into the 43North Finals.

At Electric City, you’ll step into a high-energy space filled with UB Blue pride. This isn’t just another mixer — it’s a one-of-a-kind chance to:

  • Meet and mingle with fellow UB students who share your curiosity and drive.
  • Connect with alumni who once stood exactly where you are — and are now making moves across Buffalo and beyond.
  • Spark conversations, swap stories, and ignite ideas that could fuel your next big opportunity.
  • Challenge yourself to make three meaningful connections before the night is over.

This event is designed specifically for the UB community, creating a social, supportive, and inspiring atmosphere before we head together to Shea’s for the 43North Finals.

Your registration includes admission to Collide, Connect, and Celebrate, your ticket to the 43North Finals, and transportation home following the Finals.

Your Night at a Glance

4:30 PM | Kick-Off at Electric City
Arrive, grab some food, settle in, and start connecting. Meet students and alumni from across the UB community and get ready for the night ahead.

4:30–5:30 PM | Collide, Connect & Celebrate
This is your hour to make the room smaller. Introduce yourself, share what you're exploring, hear someone else's story, and take on our challenge: make three connections with three people you didn't know when you walked in.

5:30–5:45 PM | Transition to Shea’s
We'll wrap up at Electric City and make our way together to Shea’s Performing Arts Center.

6:00 PM | 43North Finals Begin
Experience one of Buffalo's biggest nights of innovation as founders take the stage and compete live at the 43North Finals.

Approximately 8:00 PM | Transportation Home
When the Finals conclude, transportation will be available to take participating students home.

Come ready to celebrate our UB spirit, meet someone new, and leave with connections that can continue well beyond one night.
