If you ask Crawdad Sniper what his name means, it will probably lead to more questions. However, ask him about his music and you’ll understand why I am here writing this. Crawdad Sniper is an electronic music producer from the East Coast, United States, Earth. While his earliest musical experiences found themselves banging on tuned cylindrical devices called, ‘the drums’. Life has brought them into a different domain, bringing in synthesized audio elements intended to be played at the loudest possible volume through the best available sound system to a crowd of people with nothing on their minds except the communal experience of dance. In comparison to other types of human music, Crawdad Sniper’s chief concern is the mastery of the inexplicable groove. A certain returning pattern capable of making the most serious puritan nod their head. Crawdad Sniper is known for his innovative approach to bass music. He crafts immersive soundscapes that blend the grit of trip-hop with deep, rhythmic bass lines. His unique style is characterized by haunting melodies, intricate rhythms, and a storytelling approach to live sets that captivate audiences and leave them in a state of sonic euphoria.
Daggz began in Rochester NY, curating events, performing and immersing himself in the local electronic music scene there. Throughout this time an exploration into the occult, genesis theory and ancient mythology occurs. The teachings of the Gnostics, the Rosicrucians, the Hermetica and others brought focus to a vision, which was to attempt a redirect of this profound, esoteric wisdom back into the collective consciousness by embedding it into the music itself.
Daggz sets out to incorporate thought provoking dialogue and distinct spiritual concepts into each composition. Communicating these ideas through experimental bass design, hypnotic rhythms and cinematic arrangements. Transitioning between the dark and the light with the aim to invoke a curiosity within us. To motivate a questioning of our hidden history, to consider the existence of higher intelligences at work beyond our awareness and to inspire a desire to seek greater truths.
