EARTH NIGHT is a week‐long celebration that fuses music, nightlife, climate and environmental action on a global scale. EARTH NIGHT is part of a global initiative by DJs for Climate Action (DJ4CA). DJ4CA emerged in 2011 when a group of DJs decided to harness the influence of electronic music and DJ culture to power climate solutions and generate action. As a global community unified by music and the pursuit of climate justice, DJ4CA coordinates events to promote tangible impacts while raising funds for vital projects and communities. In 2025 EARTH NIGHT took place in 29 different events throughout 12 countries, bringing together more than 8,000 people worldwide. The events avoided wasting 180kg of plastic waste and 0 flights were taken by the performing artists! During the week of April 20-27, 2026, there will be numerous global events! By committing to stay LOCAL and sharing your experience, you become part of a GLOBAL wave, from city to city, around the world–powered by the unified mission to “DANCE LOCAL ACT GLOBAL.”

Marcel Born and raised in Germany, Marcel came of age during one of the most electrifying moments in modern history: the reunification of East and West Germany. As the walls came down and a new Berlin emerged, so did a cultural explosion that would shape the course of electronic music forever. Marcel was there for it all, as the underground parties pushed the boundaries of sound from ethereal ambient soundscapes to the relentless energy of Drum & Bass and everything in between. That era left an indelible mark. Marcel developed a deep and genuine love for the full spectrum of electronic music, and that passion translates directly to his sets, which move fluidly across styles and moods. At his core, Marcel is driven by house and techno, rooted in groove and rhythm, and guided by the spirit of those early days.
DJ Payasito, also known as Alex, is a queer California native who views dance floors as a place to reach into your inner child and let your freak flag fly high. Payasito translates to “small playful clown.” Payasito sets are rhythmic, funky, and curated to ensure you will have a wide range of genres to get silly on the dance floor with. When this payasito isn’t spinning funky beats, he’s busy working in mental health advocacy and volunteers his time in community outreaches, collaborating and curating community-building events with sound and mutual aid for the people.
