Amygdala welcomes you to Pleasure Dome, an immersive variety show exploring pleasure, utopia, and queer futurity. The title hails from the 1954 art house film by Kenneth Anger, “Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome” inspired by a mysterious party he attended with the theme “Come as your Madness.” The fifth iteration is titled "Cetacea." A performative exploration of all things large, grand, and unconquerable. Out of reach, but with a tangible wonder. A sordid pleasure in feeling utterly small and insignificant, with a compounded awareness of inter connectivity within one greater system.
