JOY HOUSE is a quarterly queer community gathering that invites socializing and community connection. The event includes offerings by community members, including a high-energy DJ set and a sound bath. Prepare to relax and also to move!
JOY HOUSE is, above all, a house-music party with heart, in the tradition of the T-Dance.
We gather and party early so you can get home early!
Please note that we are a sober, queer-centered environment where we uphold consent and co-create a safe space together.
Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie on floor during the 35-minute sound bath that follows the DJ set.
All bodies are welcome.
This is a +18 event.
We will not be serving alcohol and none is permitted in the space. No smoking or vaping is permitted.
Tickets will also be sold at the door for $25, payable through Venmo or cash only.
The venue address is 145 Rock Hill Rd. Tiburon. This is an indoor space. Event happens rain or shine!! There is a parking lot and also street parking available.

Queering Marin, created by Cindy Manit and Femily Howe, is a growing community for Marin-based queer, trans, and nonbinary folks, plus allies, to connect, gather, and make some queer magic.
Rev. Jess Shine (he/they/them/elle) brings over two decades experience pastoring churches and communities that have included students, police officers, hospice and hospital patients, young adults, retirees and everyone in between. Shine brings a passion for people and a skill for communicating in transformative ways. They are a passionate community builder, empathic listener, and clarifying visionary. A descendant of Mexican peoples, as well as Indian and Northwestern European immigrants, their spirituality is most deeply experienced through relationships, reading, music, wine, travel, theological conversations, sports, and food!
About Your DJ
CIANA is a bilingual creative force: a writer, Spanish translator, event creatrix, and DJ, who’s lived in Latin America, Italy, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Having reveled on dance floors all over the world, Ciana knows deep in her body that when we dance, we leave the mundane world behind and elevate to higher realms, where we connect, feel alive, and get free. Ciana fuses everything from Afrobeats, riddim, and amapiano Latin, organic, funky, and deep house, soultronic, nu disco, and pop remixes. Her sets invite people to sweat, sway, and sing together. About Your Sound Bath Artist
Aaron King is a former electronic music producer and DJ whose relationship to sound was fundamentally reshaped by a life-altering accident and brain injury. His sound baths, called "In Service of Sound," live in the grey space between acoustic ritual and electronic abstraction. They blend crystal singing bowls, chimes, handmade instruments, and evolving electronic ambient soundscapes of his own creation to create a unique tapestry of live sound. Rather than guiding listeners toward absolute comfort and familiar melodic territory, his work opens unfamiliar terrain... inviting deep listening, shadow exploration, and subconscious inquiry. These sessions aren't about escape, but about presence. Creating a space where texture, tension, and stillness allow what is usually unspoken to surface.
