After years of fronting some of the area’s top bands — earning both local and regional airplay for his original music — Mark shifted his focus in 2023 to performing as a solo acoustic artist.
The move paid off quickly. He was voted Iron City Rocks’ 2023 Best Singer/Songwriter, his EP Just Me (and Hopefully You) was a finalist for Best Album of 2023, and his single Your Scars Are Beautiful was a finalist for Best Song of 2023. The song’s music video has surpassed 300,000 streams on social media — and continues to climb.
In 2023, Mark was also inducted into the Iron City Rocks Pittsburgh Music Hall of Fame.
At local shows, Mark delivers a generous mix of rock hits (’60s–early 2000s), modern and outlaw country, southern rock, and originals. Known for his engaging stage presence, he goes beyond simply playing songs — he connects with the crowd. And if the room is listening, singing along, and the bar is still busy, Mark is known to keep the music going at no additional cost.
