About this event

The next Monday Night Meetup is happening January 12, 2026 at Drowning Fish Studio! Suggested Donation: $10 — but everyone is welcome!

Doors open: 7:00 PM
To attend or perform, please RSVP and make sure you're inside the building before 7:30 PM. Open mic sign-ups are first-come, first-served. An RSVP guarantees your entry, not a performance slot.

If you RSVP, please arrive on time — late arrivals may lose their spot to walk-ups. For everyone's safety, the studio doors will be locked promptly at 7:30 PM.

Get Ready to Shine!
Join the Cape Squad for the "Monday Night Meetup" - a vibrant gathering of creatives, for creatives! Hosted by the talented Drea Young (Grammy Award Winner) and Jason Dunkerley (Sound Engineer and co-owner of Drowning Fish Studio), this dynamic evening is your chance to shine, connect, and thrive in the tri-state area's indie scene.

Expect an Unforgettable Night:
  • Take the Stage: Join our open mic performances and share your art!
  • Featured Guest: We're looking for one talented individual from any area of entertainment to shine as our featured guest at every Meetup!
  • Creative Content: We're capturing the night! With a minimum donation of $10, performers will receive high-quality video + audio recordings of their performances.
  • MIOH Podcast: An inspiring conversation will be conducted with our featured guest, who'll share their journey and experiences with our community. Features include a live spotlight in the evening!
For the open mic, Drowning Fish Studio will provide a PA system with DI's, microphones, and drums. Drummers will need to bring cymbals, a kick pedal, and drumsticks. Musicians, bring your instruments and pedals.

Share your art, connect with other creatives, and help keep Philly's indie community thriving!
