HOW DO I GET TO THE EVENT?

Once you purchase a ticket, you will have received a QR code and direct coordinates for the google maps to the location.

The closest town will be Blanca and Alamosa, about a 25 minute drive away from the land if you need anything extra.

The land is pretty flat once you arrive, however, in case of any surprise weather, we do recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle if available as this is a drive through the mountains into the Valley, however, all vehicles can get to the land just fine.

If you have issues, shoot us an email via the contact page. And show your name and receipt for directions.

WHY SAN LUIS VALLEY?

A spiritual, intriguing land offering a sense of peace amid epic 100-mile views and sand dunes circled by soaring peaks, the valley is peppered with the legacy of Native American, Hispanic and European settlers and explorers, steeped in history and ripe with folklore.

People come to the valley to meditate because they find peace in the open landscape, a break from dense, business-oriented big cities. The emptiness of the valley seems to favor a deeper connection with the natural environment.

Native American people who lived in the valley for centuries also revered it spiritually, long before Crestone’s meditation groups. To this day, Jicarilla Apache people still trek to the Great Sand Dunes National Park to gather sand for sacred paintings. They also lived around the Sangre De Cristo mountains and used the dunes as a training ground to strengthen their horses and young men before hunting buffalo.
