About this event

Writing for Resilience : Letters of Hope for MA LGBTQ+ Youth

Writing for Resilience: Letters of Hope for MA LGBTQ+ Youth is an event organized by transgender and nonbinary community members in the Greater Boston Area, sponsored by GLSEN and co-hosted by MTPC. This event will cultivate a creative space of empowerment where we can come together and embody the future of liberation. Our intention is to nurture resilience, share hope, and amplify love through letter writing, crafting, and connecting with the community. Letters from this event will be sent to queer and trans youth and young adults across Massachusetts. Food will be provided!

✍️ What We're Doing:

  • Writing heartfelt letters of hope and support for queer and trans youth and young adults.
  • Enjoying creative crafting activities to make our messages even more special.
  • Connecting with a community of caring individuals, all while enjoying provided food and drinks.

👥 Who Should Attend:

  • Anyone who wants to send a powerful message of love and resilience to LGBTQ+ youth.
  • Transgender, nonbinary, queer, and allied community members in the Greater Boston area and beyond.
  • You! No writing or crafting experience is needed—just an open heart.

💖 Why It Matters:

  • Your words can be a lifeline, nurturing resilience and showing isolated youth they are not alone.
  • This event is a direct act of empowerment, helping us collectively embody a future of liberation and love.
  • Organized by transgender and nonbinary community members, this is a authentic, community-led initiative.

🏽‍🌈 Who's Behind the Event:

  • Sponsored by GLSEN Massachusetts: A local chapter of the national organization fighting for every student’s right to a safe, supportive education.
  • Co-hosted by MTPC (Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition): Working to ensure the wellbeing, safety, and lived equity of all trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive community members in Massachusetts.
  • This collaboration ensures your letters reach young people across the state through trusted networks.

✅ What You'll Gain:

  • The powerful feeling of making a tangible difference in a young person's life.
  • Connection with a supportive and affirming community.
  • A creative and uplifting evening filled with hope.

Come help us amplify love, one letter at a time. Spaces are limited, so register today!
