About this event
Spring arrives with color, rhythm, and remembrance.
Rubaba Fest is more than a celebration of Holi. It is a gathering of ceremony, community, devotion, music, and movement—an invitation to reconnect with the divine presence that lives quietly within each of us.
At the center of this gathering is **Rubaba**—a musician and spiritual guide whose work invites people into devotion through sound, mantra, and deep inner movement. Through music, meditation, and collective experience, Rubaba creates spaces where people reconnect with themselves and with the sacred.
Rubaba Fest brings these elements together in a flowing journey—from celebration and chanting to dance, nourishment, deep sound meditation, and a collective closing.
The intention is simple yet profound:
**to help us reintegrate and center ourselves in the divinity that lives within us.**

## The Journey of the Evening
### 🌸 3:00 PM — Welcome Holi Celebration
The gathering begins with color, laughter, and joyful welcome.
Holi marks the arrival of spring and the victory of light over darkness. Together we celebrate with color, music, and community—setting the tone for a day of openness, play, and shared spirit.
This opening hour invites everyone to arrive fully: greeting one another, releasing the heaviness of winter, and stepping into a sacred celebration of life.

### 🕉️ 3:30 PM — Ecstatic Kirtan (60–90 Minutes)
The heart opens through sound.
We gather in ecstatic kirtan, chanting ancient mantras that have been sung for centuries as pathways into devotion and inner awakening.
The music will unfold through a rich live soundscape featuring **rubab, guitars, upright bass, ambient samplers, and live looping**, layered through a **DJ console** to create an immersive devotional experience that blends traditional mantra with contemporary sonic textures.
Together we will chant:
* The **1000 Names of Lord Shiva**
* The **1000 Names of Ma Kali**
* The **1000 Names of Govinda**
* The **Gayatri Mahamantra**
As voices merge and rhythms build, the collective energy of the group becomes a field of devotion—where sound becomes prayer and prayer becomes experience.
No musical experience is needed. Just bring your voice and your heart.

### 7:00 pm 🍲 Food, Water & Integration
Special Event - Rubaba Birthday Celebration
After movement, we pause to nourish ourselves.
This time allows space to rest, hydrate, and share food (Potluck Style) with one another—grounding the experience in community before the evening turns inward.

### 8:00 pm 🔊 Sound Healing — 4D Sound Journey
As night settles, we enter a deeper inner space.
Sound Hypnotics is a **multi-dimensional 4D sound experience** utilizing:
* **8 array speakers**
* **2 subwoofers**
* spatial sound design surrounding the body
This immersive sound field blends **Indian classical textures with deep ambient soundscapes**, guiding participants into **yoga nidra**—a profound state between waking and sleeping.
In this space, the mind softens.
The body rests deeply.
The subconscious opens gently.
Many experience this as the most peaceful “half-sleep” meditation they have ever encountered.
Lie down, close your eyes, and let the sound carry you inward.
