About this event

Every Screens Unplugged 2-hour workshop is designed to ease you in, spark curiosity,
and get
your hands moving quickly. We start with a relaxed, low-pressure warm-up to get

everyone comfortable, followed by a short, approachable introduction to the tools and
process. You don’t need to memorize anything or “get it right” right away—the goal is to
orient you just enough so you can jump into the fun part: actually printing.

From there, printers rotate through the full screen printing process in small
groups, guided every step of the way. You’ll take part in exposing a screen, washing it
out to reveal the artwork, pulling ink across the screen to print your design, and
heat-curing your piece using a professional conveyor dryer. Everyone moves through
the stations together, keeping the energy up and the experience flowing.
Once you’ve completed your included print, you’re welcome to keep going by purchasing
additional T's, totes, and hoodies if you’d like. The workshop wraps up with a celebratory
send-off, time for photos with your new friends and the workshop creator, and that
unmistakable feeling of “I actually made this.”

There is a growing lack of engaging, in-person creative experiences for adults. Most entertainment options are passive and screen-based, offering little opportunity for hands-on learning or personal accomplishment. Screens Unplugged is a hands-on screen printing workshop! It addresses the gap by providing a tactile, focused experience where participants create something real. Attendees leave with a finished garment, a sense of pride, and a story to share. Each workshop positively impacts small groups while building a solid community through shared experience.
