What is "South Park Murder Mystery"?
It's part house tour, part murder mystery.
Attendees will buy tickets prior to the event for a certain time slot. This allows us to control the numbers of people who will be touring the neighborhood. Each group will have no more than 18 people, and they will leave in a staggered fashion from Veritas Church (500 Hickory Street, Dayton, Ohio 45410) with a neighborhood guide(s).
Before each group leaves, an actor ("Lead Detective") playing a detective from the 1960s will introduce the event, discuss general rules, and get everyone excited to play. Everyone will get a packet with info, too. Then, guides will begin the tour at the time slot launch time, taking the group from house to house.
At each house, there will be actors who will perform a short scene and will also interact with the attendees. House hosts can be on hand to talk to attendees about their house (not "in character"). Attendees ask questions and get clues, then the guides will walk them to the next house.
At the end of the tour, attendees will have a chance to relax at Coco's Bistro with a drink and submit their guesses about the identity of the killer.
The next day, emails will go out to all attendees with the correct killer's identity revealed. A random prize drawing will be held for all people who guessed the correct killer, and the person whose correct guess was drawn will be notified by email. Prizes will be delivered or held for pickup at a local business.
