“Based in Bozeman, Montana, Panther Car is a four piece band consisting of Connor Smith, Chrys Kirkwood, Scott Merenz and Andrew Cornell. Together, they craft a distinctive amalgamation of psych, dream pop and grunge—producing a sound that manages to be both meditative and immediate. Therefore, whereas most acts working in these genres lean towards either a warm and enveloping ethereality or a brooding cascade of noise, Panther Car manage to straddle the entire spectrum, often within a single song, all invention and playfulness balanced by a mean, serious streak that anchors you in the moment.” (Listen Now)
- Jon Doyle, Various Small Flames
"the pond is an indie-rock/slowcore band out of Butte, MT built up around the tender and earnest songs of Jon Cardiello. While the moniker the pond is new, the project has been around for almost a decade under the name Bombshell Nightlight. The name change to the pond marks a band-centric chapter with an album coming out in 2024. The new tone is still melancholic, and somber, but brings forth a sense of grit and directness that pushes Cardiello’s songs to their full potential. The band also includes Noelle Huser (of Bluest, ESP), Sanders Smith (of Anything Bagel, Wrinkles, Les Duck, Soft Maybe), and Kale Huseby (of BOYS, Campdaze) - creating a raw, emotive live performance." "Les Duck is all about fast cars, slow guitars, family and friendship. Lukas Phelan and Sanders Smith trade songs exploring those very themes while Nate Biehl rips the steel guitar, James Rogers tickles the drums, and Jon Cardiello holds it all together in a beautiful woven basket. Scrappy, jangly and a wee bit twangy, Les Duck channels a loosey goose sound somewhere between Arthur Russell and Crazy Horse." (Listen Now)
