Windier plays foggy electric folk music made up of cello, drums, guitar, bass, and three voices. Drawing inspiration from poetic and experimental indie rock acts like Smog, The Microphones, Yo La Tengo, and Lomelda, the band casts far-reaching echoes of meaning and beauty from songs both simple and unknowable. They are touring across the US this summer with a new album of lyric-forward music about home, dreams, the life of mountains and towers, birth, loss, and strange birds overhead. Windier includes songwriter Asa Shadis, bassist Simi Kunin, cellist Annie Dodson, and percussionist Zoe Holland.

Originally built as the First Presbyterian Church in 1896, The Covellite Theatre a medium-capacity (350 capacity) proscenium stage venue, and The Uptown Lounge on the ground floor is an intimate (150 capacity) scene with a bar, cabaret seating, and a black box stage.
